Feeling Stuck? Here’s Why You Can't Nor You Should ‘Think’ Your Way to Clarity
We’ve all been there.
Spinning in our minds.
Writing hundreds upon hundreds of pages in the journal.
Ideas, checklists, prompts, questions, quotes - everything.
And despite that - the next step?
Still unclear.
And what do we normally do?
We try harder.
More journaling.
More podcasts.
More strategy sessions.
More books.
And yet again - we end up still second-guessing.
But here’s the truth no one really tells you:
You can’t think your way to clarity.
Because thinking is the block.
The problem is not a lack of effort.
The problem is a misdirection of effort.
Why Thinking Feels Like a Solution (But Isn’t)
If you’re anything like me - chances are you're a thinker by nature.
Curious, analytical, with a constant hunger to (mentally) deconstruct things.
You believe that the more you understand something - the easier it will be to solve.
And don't get me wrong, that’s true - to an extent.
But when it comes to finding clarity in your life or business - your mind isn’t the place to look.
Yes, you might find some answers there - but the golden nugget is not in the mind.
In fact, the mind it’s often what’s standing in the way.
Why?
Because the mind is designed to analyze and think, not to feel.
It loops.
It looks for patterns.
It wants control.
But clarity?
Clarity comes from stillness.
From presence.
From surrender.
From the body, not the brain.
Because whether you believe it or not - your cells know you and understand you better than your mind does.
The Real Reason You’re Stuck
You’re not stuck because you don’t have enough information.
You’re stuck because you’re disconnected from your own internal signals.
Here’s how it usually looks:
You think harder when what you really need is - to pause.
You keep planning instead of starting - to plant.
You try to “make the right decision” instead of feeling what’s true.
You ask for advice instead of building self-trust.
You keep 'mentally masturbating' by collecting and storing more information in your brain, when what you actually need is - act.
In the world we live today, surrounded by extroverts, corporations, internet and AI - we’ve all been taught to prioritize logic over intuition.
Planning over presence.
Thinking over feeling.
But in my experience - embodiment beats analysis every time.
And that's a big thing - coming from someone who's known to be a compulsive analyst.
What Helped Me Break Out of the Loop
Now, I used to stay stuck for weeks trying to figure out the next move.
Trying to build the perfect system.
Trying to make sense of it all with my mind.
Then I realized:
My clarity came not when I thought harder - but when I felt deeper.
It wasn’t another framework that changed things.
It was the practice of mindfulness.
It was pausing.
Conscious breathing.
Sitting with the discomfort.
With the silence.
And feeling what is true for me.
Now, of course, I did a lot of heavy lifting prior to this sitting and feeling.
I studies and learned many aspects of myself.
From books, to podcasts, psychology, astrology, Myers-Briggs personality test, human design, numerology, as well as digital psychology and journaling.
Which gave me a great deal of self-awareness.
So I do believe this part to be a very important one.
Because although we have access to a lot of information these days, many people still have no idea who they TRULY ARE.
And if you haven't had an environment at home - that encouraged and cultivated this in you - you gotta go in the world out there and find out.
Which is what I had to do.
I had to go out there and 'find myself' in knowledge - through the mind.
Which was the initial first step.
One that gave me a taste of what's possible.
One that held the mirror for me.
To then end up and learn how to also 'feel myself'.
And the moment I learned to do that - everything changed for me.
Because from that space - clarity rose naturally.
Clarity is a Felt Experience - Not a Mental Exercise
You don’t need another book or podcast right now.
You need to breathe.
To slow down.
To stop stirring the mud.
Because that’s how the water clears.
And when the water clears?
You’ll see the next step - not because you figured it out - but because you felt it.
Then and only then, I'd advise to do a bit of journaling.
Writing alongside mindfulness has given me the greatest depth of self-awareness that I possible can have.
Final Thought
So next time you’re stuck, stop thinking harder.
Start feeling deeper.
Because clarity isn’t something you chase.
It’s something you create space for.
Pause. Feel. Act.
And trust what arises.
